Our Background

Since being established in 2019, Amarillo Area Transgender Advocacy Group has been known for its commitment to speak up and speak out for our community. We stand for ALL minorities. Every single person no matter their age, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or background deserves to feel loved, safe, and validated. For centuries anyone who has been viewed as different was treated horribly, tortured and on many occasions killed. It's time to change the narrative!We strive to educate the public and advocate for those whose voices have been silenced for way too long.

Not in Texas. As long as you have the correct paperwork, you can change your gender marker.

What can I do to help Amarillo Area Transgender Advocacy Group?

You can help financially; we are a non-profit, donation funded entity. Any and all donations help provide us with the means to continue our program. We put together several events throughout the year to help keep the community connected. These events also serve to let our community know they are not alone and somebody cares about them, no matter who they are. You may also volunteer to help with any event we put on.
